A list can be restructured so that people can subscribe to part or
all of the message flow. Forcing people to either subscribe to all
or none doesn't seem extraordinarly humble, or accomodating.

If there were a topical subdivision of the lightwave list, Kim and
Tim could still subscribe to *all* of the topics.

How about also:
comp.graphics.animation.lightwave.platform
comp.graphics.animation.lightwave.techniques

The upside to newsgroups is that those of us interested in technical
lightwave questions, but without the time to process 50 messages
every day, could scan/review that newsgroup when time permits,
filtering by threads. Thanks for checking it out.
